All schools receive Sports Grant Funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport. 

We aim to use the premium to:

• develop or add to the PE and sport activities that Briscoe already offers
• make improvements now that will benefit pupils joining the school in future years

At the end of the summer term 2019 the number of Year 6 pupils that could swim 25 metres competently, confidently and proficiently, using a range of strokes effectively and perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations was 43%.
