Nursery Provision (3-4 year olds)

Children can start in our school nursery after their 3rd birthday.  More information can be found on our Nursery Admissions page.

The Early Years Foundation Stage sets the standards for learning, development and care of children aged 0-5 years. We have a nursery provision that provides the foundation learning for our 3–4 year old children.

Children can start after their 3rd birthday. Starting with us in our nursery then supports their journey into our reception class the academic year they turn 5 years. Attending our nursery does not guarantee a school place.

We believe in providing the best care, environments and learning experiences to enable our children to learn and develop to their full potential. Our provision is a balance of adult-led and child-initiated learning. This ensures that our children are successful, confident and active learners with positive attitudes to learning and academy life. The Early Years environment is an exciting place to learn and play. The Early Years team interact and observe our children in play, maximising every learning opportunity in both our inside and outside learning environments.

The children are provided with learning opportunities that support the 3 prime areas:

·       Personal, Social and Emotional Development

·       Communication and Language Development

·       Physical Development.

And 4 specific areas

These 7 areas of learning support the Characteristics of Effective Learning:
