Sue Adams (Chair)
Eileen moved to Essex in 1998 to take up her first teaching post after gaining her Bed (Hons) from Westminster College, Oxford. She has worked in Senior Leadership roles since 2003, including 4 years as a Deputy Head prior to joining Hearts as Head of School at Waterman Primary School in September 2016.
Eileen has worked across the primary school phase with roles that have focussed on assessment and progress of pupils. She has also worked as a Moderator for Essex County Council.
Since joining Hearts, Eileen has worked with Senior leaders from across the Trust to improve outcomes for pupils as recognised in the January 2018 Ofsted which judged Waterman as ‘Good’ in all areas. As part of her own ongoing professional development, Eileen has recently passed the NPQH qualification.
Sue retired in 2017 after 26 years service in School Business Management. During this time she studied and was awarded the Diploma and the Advanced Diploma in School Business Management with the National College for School Leadership and the Institute of Administration Management.
Sue is married to Vic and they have three children and currently five grandchildren.
Sue is interested in Family History and has been compiling her family tree for many years where a few surprises have come to light.
Sue currently works for the Citizens Advice Bureau, as a volunteer.
With her background Sue wanted to volunteer in the education sector and joined the Local Advisory Board for Stambridge and Waterman Primary Schools in 2017 and is currently Chair of the LAB.
Sue believes in lifelong learning and is currently pursuing training and qualification in Leadership for Governors.<>
Jo Bradbury joined the Stambridge and Waterman schools’ Local Governing Body in September 2015 and has two children attending Stambridge Primary School. As well as being part of the Local Advisory Board, Jo also enjoys volunteering at the school, particularly the Forest School, and is an active member of the Parent Council.
Becky first became a Parent Governor in 2002 at Waterman Primary and her experience in governance has continued to date. She became a Staff Governor in 2005 as she became a member of staff. In 2015 when the school joined the Trust, she moved to Stambridge Primary school to become part of the teaching team and became a member of the joint school's LAB.
She has a range of experience in education and as a trained Learning Mentor is very passionate about helping all children reach their potential through tackling barriers to learning and a holistic approach to education.
Becky lives locally in Rochford and has 4 children who all attended Trust schools.
Shaun's involvement in the trust started when he was asked to be one of three interim governors prior to the Stambridge becoming part of the trust. A key instruction to the interim board was to make arrangements for SPS to become part of a trust. This work was successfully completed and Shaun has since continued in the role of deputy chair of the LAB, overseeing Waterman and Stambridge schools.
Shaun is currently Managing Director of Rochford District Council and brings a wealth of experience of managing in the public sector to the role of Deputy. Amongst other qualifications he has a masters degree in business administration. Shaun is a local resident, and therefore has a keen interest in the performance and success of local schools.
Mr Saunders has been working for the HEARTS Academy Trust since September 2016 as Director of Learning across the six schools that make up the MAT. In this role, He has responsibility for the quality of teaching and learning across the schools with a particular focus on coaching and mentoring teachers, to ensure all children get the best quality education possible. Since 2016, outcomes in Key Stage 2 have increased by over 20%.
More recently, Mr Saunders has been the Acting Head of School at Stambridge Primary School, which is a small village school with children at the heart. Finally, in January 2019 he successfully passed the NPQH - National Professional Qualification for Headship.
